The WEB2.0 tool has become more and more popular since the beginning of the 21st century, of which blog is undoubtedly the most important software. The Blogosphere develops based on the blog, and is the research focus of this paper. By introducing how the blog and blogosphere help teachers in education narration, learning community, instruction management and assessment, this paper researches on whether the blog promotes the teacher profession development in terms of knowledge, ability, emotion, constructivism, criticism and reflection. This paper uses research methodologies such as literature review, field study, investigation, and case study.After conducting theoretical and logic analysis, the author provides the contents of questionnaires that are distributed to two high schools, and performs data statistics and content analysis by choosing Suzhou Education Blog as the research object. Then, the author discusses why the blog can become an important tool and platform for the teacher profession development, and outlines related theoretical foundations. In addition, the author verifies the actual application effects of the blog and blogosphere in the teacher profession development. Finally, the author discusses the application prospect of the blogosphere in the teacher profession development, and proposes some suggestions on how to solve the potential problems.This paper consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 introduces research background and research idea and outlines the current research on blog and teacher profession development; Chapter 2 outlines related theoretical foundations; Chapter 3 gives some cases on the applications of blog and blogosphere; Chapter 4 analyzes the relationship between the blog function and teacher profession development; Chapter 5 summarizes the research findings and discusses the application prospect of the blog and blogosphere in the teacher profession development.
