What the new course emphasizes is that teaching should face all the students, fully exerting students' initiativeness and the teaching is an interactive process of communication and collaboration between teachers and students, as well as a course of mutual development, which requires that teaching must abandon former sole and passive mode of studies under the concept of new course and diversified modes of studies that fully mobilize and exert students' subjectivity should be adopted, such as self-studies, research-based studies, collaborative studies and so forth, of which, collaborative studies is the study mode applied most in the new course teaching in class. While Standard of Geographical Course also points out that self-studies, research-based studies, collaborative studies are recommended. With the gradual deepening of new round basic education course reform, the organization mode of class teaching has changed gradually and collaborative studies is adopted in geographical teaching gradually.In the course of detailed teaching practice, the mode of collaborative studies is applied by more and more frontline teachers and certain achievement and effectiveness have been made. However, the phenomenon of Emphasis on Mode, Ignorance of Essence and Lack of Effectiveness appears at the same time, which has reduced the effectiveness of collaborative studies.Taking collaborative studies as topic, the paper analyzes the operation links of collaborative studies; fully understands the problems occurred and corresponding measures in the course of geographical collaborative studies; puts forwards function and position of teachers teaching geography in collaborative studies, as well as geographical topic selection that is suitable for collaborative studies and relevant issues through strategy analysis and research on practice from collaborative studies in geographical teaching. Therefore, effectiveness of collaborative studies can be improved, students'interest in studying geography can be aroused and improvement of students' academic results can be encouraged. Moreover, periodic achievement in theoretical research can be achieved. Effective strategies of geographical collaborative studies can be preliminarily grasped and improved, and practical and theoretical results can be accomplished.
