During recent years, according to the transformation of curriculum research from curriculum to teacher, there is an increasingly large amount of research that focus on teachers. After the New Curriculum Reform in China, the relationship between teacher and curriculum and teachers' role in curriculum have been renewed. Teachers' role in curriculum is shaped from passive implementer into positive developer and researcher. These ideas entitle teachers with more power in curriculum, and establish a strong basis for curriculum personalization towards individual teachers.Using methods such as literature review, historical study, classroom observation and interview, this study discusses why teachers need to personalize curriculum in practice, what the practice will be actually, and which factors might influence such personalization.This research finds that teachers'individual reform in curriculum is an inevitable phenomenon. It is necessary for teachers to conduct individual reform because of the existence of limitations of national curriculum, uncertainty of curriculum implementation, the requirements of individualized education and the changing of curriculum role of teachers.This research takes a middle school teacher's curriculum personalization as a case. This research finds internal factors such as teacher's awareness of curriculum, teaching experience and professionalism, and external factors such as teachers rights in curriculum decision and making, the existing evaluation system and school organizational culture will affect teacher's curriculum personalization.In the last chapter, in order to promote teacher's curriculum personalization, suggestions on pay attention to individual knowledge of teachers, optimize school organizational culture and creation of policy and institutional environment are given and discussed.
