This thesis is mainly focus on the scientific inquiry skills in Singapore ordinary level Chemistry courses. Study different scientific inquiry skills in ordinary level chemistry syllabus in Singapore chemistry textbooks and chemistry examination papers. Include scientific inquiry skills of ordinary level chemistry syllabus in Singapore's chemistry course's position. How the positioning of scientific inquiry skills in the role of chemistry Curriculum affects scientific inquiry skills. Also studied whether the Singapore chemistry textbooks related to the curriculum inherited the spirit of scientific inquiry skills. Its content is there to do both with normative or innovative. To explore Singapore's general level of scientific inquiry skills in final chemistry O level exam, find out whether the influence extends into the test field.The results show that the exact location of the Chemistry Syllabus consolidate the position of Singapore to scientific inquiry skills in O level chemistry course; syllabus of O level chemistry help to establish science inquiry skills system; Singapore teaching scientific inquiry skills both are normative and innovation; the content of scientific inquiry skills in Singapore chemistry textbooks focus on improving learning initiative; Singapore chemistry tests confirmed the positive role of scientific inquiry skills in learning progress.
