Transformation And Limitations Of The Mode Of Knowledge Production Of Liberal And Social Sciences In The Transitional Period Of China

There are great achievements in the knowledge production of liberal and social sciences in the past thirty years. The mode of the knowledge also meets a great transformation, and which is followed by three stages. The form of receiving resource in the different stages is not the same, too. The reform of marketization was changing the dominance statues of the central planned regime, and raised the various ways to get the resources. The new system of academic assessment in today shaped the action of the scholar. We will describe the characteristic of the mode knowledge production of liberal and social science in this book, and find that the principle of the central plan and marketization exist at the same time. The tension between the plan and marketization is the main driving force that makes the knowledge production in difficulties. We will construct an ideal type of the knowledge production of Chinese liberal and social science, and support the development of the research management of the knowledge production.
