Information technology teachers are a special group in secondary school due to the nature of information technology curriculum, and often have listless attitudes toward their jobs. In particular, many information technology teachers of secondary school have a low sense of accomplishment about their jobs. So many scholars appeal that the society, the schools and information technology teachers themselves should take positive measures to alter the information technology teacher's listless attitudes toward job. As the new curriculum reform develops, the new information technology curriculum of the secondary school has become ban-new from its content to concept. So it brings about fundamental changes in evaluating methods and teaching methods. As a consequence, it will be a great career challenge to all information technology teachers and it is very important to help the information technology teachers do well in their career planning and management. Through literature review, we find that there are very few persons engaging in studying educational human resource from a career point of view. At present, there is no one studies the relations between the teacher's development and the organizations of secondary schools, especially, the studies about the information technology teachers' career.Firstly, by literature review, this dissertation states the research background, the signification and related theories of this study, and makes the definition of related concepts. Secondly, this dissertation designs the questionnaire and interview outline about information technology teachers' career development, and conducts a large-scale survey in Shandong Province and Zhejiang Province. According to the statistical analysis of the survey I find that the current secondary school leaders and information technology teachers have been aware of the importance to carry out the career management. However, there are some problems. For instance, there is no sound system in society and government to support it, and the school organization and management of the education system is missing, as well as the information technology teachers themselves are lack scientific management methods. Thirdly, according to the information technology teachers' status, this dissertation constructs a suitable model for information technology teachers' career management by using the enterprise career management model. At last, this dissertation gives advices to promote information technology teachers' professional development and career management strategy from three aspects of society, schools and individual teachers. In the first place, the government will set up the career management of people to adapt to the humanistic management concept and mechanism. In the second place, secondary schools could set up a scientific management system and the remuneration protection system as well as a sound career management system for information technology teachers. What is more, the information technology teachers should strengthen self-awareness management and career-oriented management methods.In conclusion, to some extent, it attempts to introduce the career management theory and practice to the secondary school teachers' management can be regarded as an innovation. This attempt not only broadens the scope of the career management theory study, but also enriches the field of the study of secondary school teachers' management. At the same time it provides a new management concept and method for the secondary school information technology teachers. From the viewpoint of practice, career management theory is an intermediary between the teachers' management theory and the practice, and it provides secondary school administrators an effective dynamic management model.
