Teachers are the key to training personnel. The level of university teachers'quality is closely related to the business performance evaluation. Therefore, the performance evaluation of college teachers in school management plays a very important role. Performance evaluation of teacher in university has accumulated some experience through the continuous development, but the traditional performance evaluation has a lot of problems, such as irrational indicators, outdated concepts, no scientific programs and other problems. Therefore, we need to address the existing problems of performance evaluation of university teachers in order to adapt to the in-depth development of university teachers.Based on the development history of the performance evaluation of university teacher,I propose some countermeasures and suggestions to improve performance evaluation of university teacher in China. This paper is divided into six parts. The first part describes the research background, methods, and the research situation at home and abroad. The second part describes the concept of the university teacher and the characteristics of teacher performance evaluation. Partâ…¢describes the development of performance evaluation of university teacher in China. The fourth part puts forward existing problem of teacher performance evaluation in China. Part V describes the present situation,characteristics,revelation of the performance evaluation in American university.Partâ…¥, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to improve the performance evaluation.
