The new curriculum reform make a clear regulation on the assessment system: To establish an assessment system which can promote the comprehensive development of students, it is necessary to discover and develop students'various potential, to help students know themselves and establish their self-confidence. In this way, the system exerts its function and promotes students'development from the original level. This requires us to set a new assessment standard and concept, so as to "create an education suitable to students'development" and adapt to the new curriculum reform and quality education. Starting from the old assessment system of students'integrated qualities in Wenzhou No.14 Middle School, this study aims to find the primary problem and improve the system by solving it, finally, establish a new system. The study also tries to solve the drawback in the practice of the old system and other problems arising from the practice of other schools, so that it could provide references and enlightenment for other schools in the same region.Including ideas about student assessment theory from home and abroad, this study, with multiple-intelligence theory as the guide, analyzes the old system of Wenzhou No.14 Middle School and those existing problems about practice, contents and methods. By combining the special features of students in Wenzhou No.14 Middle School and consulting lots of documents and data, the students'integrated qualities assessment system of Wen Zhou No.14 Middle School is improved. The first degree of the system contains eleven items:morality, personal quality, ability for self study, ability for communication and cooperation, social experience, special skills, psychological quality, grades for basic subjects, grades for advanced subjects, grades for investigated subjects and characteristic. Meanwhile, the 51 collected items of the second degree are repeatedly analyzed and selected. Then a related survey is made among 60 Chinese and foreign teachers and the analyzed results of the survey lead to the final 46 items of the second degree. According to the reformed system, another survey on distribution is made among the same teachers in order to fix the distribution of different degrees and form the system perfect.Main conclusions of the study:(1) The existing problem of the old system:the heavy practice workload, the excessive assessing standard, the insufficient content. (2) Improving suggestions:five tables in one, suitable standard description and addition of psychology assessment. (3) Establishment of a new assessment system.
