To cultivate students'science literacy is the general purpose for new chemical curriculm of senior high school, and "process and method "is one part of target system to science literacy. However, as an important portion of science method, model and modeling are neglected in chemistry teaching. Questionnaire indicates that studens are lacking of the awareness of modeling, meanwhile, being lacking of understanding of "model", chemistry teachers often pay more attention to intuition and visualization about models, ignoring the comprehension of the methodology meaning of model.This research based on "model" method to survey the foundation of methodology hiding behind the design of chemistry instruction. By analysing some typical cases of instructional design, according to character of content of courses, using the following strategy to embody model method:experiencing model—to infiltrate model method; comprehending model—to understand model method; appling model—to transfer model method; evaluating model—to introspect model method. Therefore, we should probe and make full use of teaching materials; by the aid of history of chemistry; to educated with launching inquiry activities of model method. Looking forward to changing the habit of knowledge standard, transforming the attitude that focus on the result of learing into the proces of it. Consequently, achieving a dynamic, holistic, contact instruction design in process—method, to provide referrence for chemistry teaching and students'science literacy in the background of new curriculum.
