The Research On Preschool Education College Students' Occupational Values

At present, college students'in preschool education are the main preliminary power in Henan. Their occupational values will affect their career choice when they graduate, and further influnce their professional input. At last, the quality of preschool education will be affected. Doing the research on preschool education college students' occupational values can enrich the field of occupational values, and promote Children's Normal School carrying out targeted values'guide and curriculum set.This research investigated 526 preschool education college students by means of Normal University Students'Occupational Values Questionnaire offered by Yu Haibo and combined with talk method studying the factors which affect the students' occupational values, as well as the correlations between the values and the behavior of their choices of kindergarten teachers and preferred profession. At last, some inspirations and suggestions were proposed according to the characteristics of students' professional values.The main results of this research are as follows:(1) The order of six dimentions given by preschool education college students is: "contribution", "interpersonal relationship", "self-development", "material well being", "power", "family". They take "contribution" as the most important value and also value "material well being".(2) As grade becomes higher, students'occupational values turn more actual. And different occupational values of students in different grade influence their behaviors not alike.(3) The occupational values of five-year preschool education college students higher than three-year college students'in every dimention, and the latter tend to stability.(4) There is no significant difference in gender effect, but boys take friendship, power and family more important.(5) Urban and rural culture influence students'occupational values and the-first-job choosing.(6) The occupational values only influence the behaviors indirectly.Based on the conclusions, in my opinion, the government and the normal school shoud strive together. Firstly, the government should work hard improving kindergarten teachers'salaries. Secondly, normal school should play the leading role in strengthening students'professional dedication, setting curriculums according to students'actual capacities, enhancing students' choosing ability, giving full play to educational practice, and providing targeted help to different students.
