Based on an open-ended questionnaire and interviews with some teachers and students, and on overviews of former studies and a test of one small sample, a theoretical hypothesis was put forward in this study. Thus the Occupational College Students' Occupational Values Questionnaire that is fit for the occupational college students were designed and the reliability and validity were tested out. Then the status of normal university students' occupational values was investigated through the formal questionnaire, in which characteristics were studied. At last several suggestions were proposed to educate the occupational college students according to the characteristics of the occupational college students' occupational values.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)The self-made questionnaire had high reliability and fair validity. The research found that the occupational college students' occupational values are constructed by six dimensions: "material well being", "occupational-development", "power and delight", "create and interest", "occupation superiority", "interpersonal relationship".(2)The order of ratings' mean of every dimension given by occupational college students was: "occupational-development", "create and interest", "interpersonal relationship", "material well being", "power and delight", "occupation superiority".(3)The specialty effect in "power and delight", "create and interest" and "occupation superiority" was statistically significant.(4)The gender effect in "material well being" and "power and delight" was statistically significant.(5) The grade effect in "occupational-development", "create and interest" and "power and delight" was statistically significant. And the age effect in "create and interest" and "power and delight" was statistically significant. Grade two (or about twenty-one years old), was the key period in the development of occupation university students' occupational values.(6)The education of mother effect in "material well being" and "occupation superiority" was statistically significant. The students that have brothers and sisters rated "occupational development" more important than the students that the only child.(7)The interaction between "grade" and "gender" was statistically significant in "occupational development" and ""; The interaction between "grade" and "specialty" was statistically significant in "create and interest"; The interaction between "sex" and "specialty" was statistically significant in "material well being"; The interaction between "education of father" and "education of mother" was statistically significant in "occupational development".(8) As a whole, the occupational values of occupational college students had a trend of laying particular stress on reality. And there was a mixed characteristic of stability and fluctuation in the development of the occupational values of students.
