Study Of The Phenomenon Of Similar School-running Mode In Chinese Finance And Economics Colleges

With the enrollment enlargement of higher institutions and promotion of higher education popularization, the universities nationwide assimilate and the finance and economics colleges have no exception. Urgence to clarify the developing track of the convergence of China's finance and economics colleges and to find the characteristic way emerges.Deep study has been conducted on the hot issue in this paper. Firstly, the research framework has been proposed base on theory of American New-institutional School. Furthermore, the comparison of data between the scale of the finance and economics colleges pre and post enrollment expansion and the data analysis on the convergence of school-running level, subject classification and speciality provision of 48 finance and economics colleges nationwide have been made. The third, multiple research has been impletemented on the reason of the convergence based on the collision between history and reality, universities and politics, market demand and higher education law. Finally, the experience of Russia and the USA and measures must be absorbed and carried out in the purpose of diversity.The conclusion is reached that the reason of convergence are government-led management, over-more administrative power, poor self-regulation mechanisms and benefit maximization with conservative and legitimacy asylum. Both the government and the universities must take measures to realize the regress of the school-running diversity of the finance and economics colleges. The government should regulate the development of the universities'categories and levels in law, return the school-running autonomy and reform the controversial undergraduate teaching evaluation. As for the finance and economics colleges, personnel training mode must be reformed, school-running tradition must be inherited and innovated and the university functions and local characteristics must be combined.
