Today, human living environment has been threatened seriously by increasing environmental problems, the understanding and handling mode of the relationship between people and environment directly influence development of social and economic. Protection of the environment needs human to raise their environmental awareness, now it has became a basic quality of human. Environmental awareness is people's level of awareness on the environment and consciousness of environmental protection act. Need of the environmental education not only mentioned in "21st Century Agenda" but also in the new curriculum reform process, environmental education has become an important part of education now. Therefore, this thesis selected "Geography 6" for research, based on the environmental science and geography teaching theory, use the method of literature, comparison, statistics, compared the environmental awareness content of two textbooks. This thesis is divided into four parts:First, analyzed domestic research situation of environmental awareness, presented the background, significance, research ideas and research methods of this thesis.Second, according to environmental science, geography theories and "high school geography curriculum standards (trial version)," explained the meaning of environmental awareness, defined it's composition,which including"environmental science awareness, environmental values awareness, environmental ethical awareness, environmental legal awareness, environmental participation awareness". Third, first of all, according to environmental awareness component compared the two textbooks and summed up the characteristics. Second, at the basis of statistical analysis of environmental awareness component, from point of the writing system, image system, activity system, analyzed two textbooks and summarize characteristics. Third, based on the curriculum standard, compared the content of two textbooks, summed up the degree of agreement between curriculum standard and textbooks, similarities and differences between two textbooks.Fourth, made a summary of the full text and gave some proposals for using and writing textbook. Using Proposals: (1)?Analysis the environmental awareness content of textbook?, targeted to select teaching content, raising the student's environmental awareness in comprehensively.(2)Emphasis on the using of textbook activity system, give full play to the role of Environmental awareness. (3)?Grasp the implementation of textbook to the curriculum standards,? implement the teaching objectives accurately and raising the student's environmental awareness effectively. Writing Proposals:(1) Add some teaching materials properly about "environmental values awareness,environmental ethics awareness, environmental legal awareness".(2) Add some environmental protection activities (practices). (3)Grape the curriculum standard correctly and select teaching materials to implement the requirements. (4)To avoid the scientific error phenomenon appear in the books, like non-uniform.(5)Design bright and beautiful graphic in materials.
