The new teaching reform in senior middle schools is going on throughout China. In such a grand situation ,the old traditional teaching methods cannot adapt to the necessity of the reform. In such a circumstance,it has become a serious problem that all the political teachers focus on how they can find proper solutions to better teaching ways of politics. As for what is mentioned above ,personally I have been carrying out the reform of senior politics by researching,and the results are considerable.As the book"Standard For Politics"says,"Our aim is to lead the students,in the practice of knowing ,adapting to and joining society,to sense the significance of the value of the use of knowledge and reasonable thinking in the fields of life, such as economy, politics and culture,to draw attention to the students'feelings,attitudes,and behavior,to advocate the teaching methods of open inter-action and the learning methods of cooperation and research,to raise the students'ability of self-learning and self-development."After a deeper understanding and learning of the ideas the book mentioned above,by personal teaching practice experience I finished writing this paper .In order to perform the exploratory instruction skills in class,we must make further research on it. We should apply theory to practice,with research as the foundation. Therefore , my paper mainly refers to the present exploratory instruction methods.What is exploratory instruction? What are its characteristics and modes? That's what I will talk about in my paper. Firstly,after referring to some ideas of some specialists,I think that the aim of research teaching is to seek for the truth and solve problems by exploring. Secondly,the characteristics of exploratory instruction include six aspects: questions , research ,independence, creativity,society,and process. Thirdly, The basic modes of exploratory instruction include four aspects: raising questions and presenting research ----supplying materials and designing research ----correct direction and practicing research----exchanging,discussing and continuing research.After analyzing the conceptions,characteristics and basic models of exploratory instruction,in my paper I further emphasize the importance of the conduction of the exploratory instruction research of senior politics course. Firstly,the necessity of the conduction of the senior politics course is narrated according to following five aspects: the present situation of education,the requirements of the new teaching reform,the requirements of quality education , the requirements of student-centered development and the comparison with the old traditional teaching modes. What's more,through my own teaching practice I gave a detailed account on the performance of the senior politics exploratory instruction and also presented my opinions concerning the problems and points that we should pay attention to.Most probably there are some errors in my paper because of my limited ability and knowledge. I sincerely hope that my colleagues and respected experts can correct them. Thank you so much.
