With the establishment and development of marking economy system, the characteristics of economic society result in people's pursuing maximum benefit, which leads to a certain distortion of acts and morality, and the appearance of moral deficiencies in all fields of work at different levels. All these have handicapped the economic development, and beset people's value judgments. They have a negative effect on the students, especially on the secondary technical school students. This negative effect can not be ignored.Secondary Technical school is the cradle to cultivate the constructors in the process of developing the local economic. Secondary Technical Education is the most important component in the state education. Secondary vocational education takes up the important responsibilities and tasks in fostering the high-quality workers and technical talents; furthermore, it also plays a crucial role in fulfilling the strategy of economic development through science-technology and education as well as the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development, enhancing the overall quality and skills of the entire people of the nation and transforming the tension of our large population into the advantages of our human resources. Moral education is also vital in vocational education not only on the side of virtue education, but also on the side of knowledge composition.The subjects of the present study are the students from four secondary technical schools in Hohhot. The purpose of the study is to investigate and analyze the subjects'present ideology and moral character and their existing problems by meanings of questionnaire survey, interview and informal discussion. The result shows that there exist many problems, although the main stream of the students' moral cultivation is good.The subjects' problems mainly come from following aspects:unawareness of politics, obvious profit-orientation idea, weak legal consciousness, no sense of right and wrong, lack of studying motivation, insufficient preparation of getting a job, unable to regulate their daily behavior, unhealthy activities in their leisure time, little concept of law, weak disciplinary awareness, lack of sincerity, and not good at handling with social communication. In such a case, the author deeply analyzed the reasons that caused above problems and put forward solutions and suggestions including following aspects:updating the concept of moral education for the secondary technical school; enhancing the cultivation of seconding technical school students and raising cultural effect of moral education; enhancing the quality of parents and refining the family education method; improving the social environment and constructing healthy moral education social environment; forming the educational resultant force of schools,families and society. The present study attempts to provide guidance and reference for secondary technical school in Hohhot to carry out the moral education, to better improve teachers' educational concept on moral education and their teaching methods, and to solve their students'moral problems.
