In recent years, the problems about students'physical quality and the development of national traditions sports have been more attention problems. In order to further understand the status about the teaching and carrying out of national traditional sports in primary and secondary schools in Tai Yuan City. In this paper, through the survey to 18 primary schools of six district of Tai Yuan that Xiao Dian District, Ying Ze District, Jin Yuan District, Xing Hualing District, Wan Bailin District and Jian Caoping District, and conducting a study about the status of teaching of national traditional physical education of Tai Yuan city as a sample of 18 primary schools in combined with literature, data, interviews, field observation, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. Through the research finding following conclusions and put forward some feasible suggestions.Conclusion:(1) Primary school sports venues; there is a shortage of equipment and staff shortages. Primary school day to carry out the situation is optimistic that the teaching of the teacher explained mainly adopts the law.(2) In elementary school sports teaching, the traditional sports occupy a large proportion of the traditional sports and physical education for primary school teaching of sports. Most teachers hold that primary school days should be in the existing basis to increase national sport of the class.(3) The rural primary schools three primary schools and towns, in space activities in schools is superior to town, but in the kinds of sports equipment, the per capita amount of content and teaching staff, the diversity of aspects of the town. It is bad in primary grade and gender, grade gender differences, the students in for sports and activities during the selection of obvious differences.(4) Primary school in the teaching of traditional sports are mainly embodied in the traditional sports:monotonous teaching content of the teachers; traditional sports interest; students with the problem will not agree with the contents of the sports professor; school teaching content with the relevant provisions not affected state. Primary school teaching of traditional sports positive factor is the traditional sports own nature and character and ground equipment. The negative factors are mainly teachers and teachers and led to physical.To the above conclusions and recommendations put forward the following:(1) To strengthen their own elementary school physical education teachers in the study of traditional cultural knowledge.(2) Physical education teachers can through rich the way of traditional sports activities to develop and strengthen students interesting in sports.(3) The relevant departments should take certain measures physical advantages of rural and urban primary school's sports edge, to find a better way to conduct school sports.(4) Relevant departments can organize the physical education teachers to learning traditional sports, some projects could be undertaken to training teachers. Relevant departments can organize students take part in traditional sports events, promoting the traditional sports in primary schools to carrying out.(5) Sports College should include not Wushu and Taiji Quan other addition of the other traditional sports curriculum in teaching of national traditional sports content.
