Great changes have happened in kindergarten teaching after the second education reform. The new curriculum forwards new demands on the ability of teachers and quality, especially the music education. The aims of this research are to acquaint the cognition of kindergarten teachers on theme music activities and its influential factors, to provide data for the factors of kindergarten music education and give some opinions.The subjects include 188 teachers of 10 kindergartens in Shanghai. The research uses several education science research methods to collect the data such as literature, interview and questionnaire, and uses descriptive statistics, T analysis, variance analysis, LSD analysis. The results show that:1. The cognition of kindergarten teachers on theme music activities are not very clearly.2. The evaluations of the theme music activities are declinational.3. Kindergarten teachers are confused how to teach the theme music activities.4. Kindergarten teachers are confused how to collect the teaching material.5. The cognition of kindergarten teachers on theme music activities are affected by many factors, such as the grade of kindergarten, teacher's age, seniority, title, job training. But it is not affected by Kindergarten's regional and teacher's qualification.
