The Research On The Ethnic Intermarriage Models Of Zhenning County And The Factors Which Affect Them

The ethnic intermarriage not only represents the relationship between two heterosexual individuals, but also hides the ethnic cultures and social backgrounds of the two individuals respectively. Consequently, the conditions of ethnic intermarriage is a very important aspect that measuring the correlation and deep-level fusion of different ethnic groups which is reflected by the ethnic intermarriage rate. However, the ethnic intermarriage rate is always affected by the relative population scale largely. It is not appropriate to analyze the preference of ethnic intermarriage by ethnic intermarriage rate, that is, we couldn't estimate the relations of nations and the degrees of fusion in more deep levels only by the value of the ethnic intermarriage rate. If we want to analyze it from this perspective, the influence of the relative population scale must be eliminated.Based on these reasons, I have established a theory model of Intermarriage with random events principles, combined with the relation of ethnic intermarriage and ethnic and marriage within the ethnic groups, we can draw three important relationship expressions as follows:(1) the ethnic intermarriage probability of some ethnic group ia equal to the population proportion of other ethnic groups; (2)The ethnic intermarriage probability of a national and another nation is equal to the population proportion of another nation; (3) The ethnic intermarriage probability in a region is equal to the sum of the product of marriage probability within ethnic groups and ethnic intermarriage probability. In this paper, the ratio of the actual ethnic intermarriage rate and the ethnic intermarriage probability in recent years have been considered as the coefficient of the preference of ethnic intermarriage and used to estimate the degree of preference of ethnic intermarriage. It has been found that the ethnic intermarriage rate has raised largely compared with that ten years ago,which is high at 32.6%. However, both in view of the overall zones and nations in Zhenning County, the preference of ethnic intermarriage was always exist in some degree. The ethnic intermarriages of Zhenning County are mainly in the Han and minority nationalities, in which the Han-minority is the main patern of ethnic intermarriage of Zhenning County. In Chinese-minority intermarriage, men of Han marring with women of minority is more than women of Han marring with men of minority. In contrast to the marriage groups within ethnic groups, the participants of ethnic intermarriage belong to the cultural superiority classes of the local community and most of them engage in local government and public service units whose age at first marriage were elder one year than other classes. In addition, the field survey also found that:To women's fertility level, people of ethnic intermarriage are lower than those who marry within the ethnic groups.In this paper, the factors which affect the ethnic intermarriage have also been further discussed. In my opinion, in the process of urbanization, many factors, such as economic development, policy guidance, the evolution of national culture, the change of living patterns, the increase of social mobility and all so have profound impacts on the incidence of ethnic intermarriage. As for what is most important, we must further research.The rising of ethnic intermarriage scale is conducive to the development of population itself, harmonious ethnic relations and national integrations in depth. At the same time, however, some social problems have also been brought into this region, for example, the imbalance of sex ratio of the groups with ethnic intermarriage, the weaker stability of trans-province and trans-nation ethnic intermarriage and the lack of thanks and comforts as the ethnic intermarriages which occur in relative long distance.
