The chemistry curriculum reform in junior high schools emphasizes practical reforms in classroom teaching,but for teachers in ethnic minority areas,how to change traditional teaching concepts will face new challenges.The new curriculum reform advocates students should be considered as the center when designing the learning environment and the situation,initiative,and sociality of students' learning should be emphasized.Therefore,teachers in ethnic minority areas should use situational teaching as a breakthrough when choosing teaching methods.Situational teaching is a teaching method,which see students as the center and create proper contexts.Such teaching method is more suitable for students' psychological development.Based on the analysis of a large number of literatures,combined with the investigation of the status quo of junior high school chemistry situation teaching in Zhenning County,this study analyzes the problems existing in the teaching of chemical situations in minority areas;Exploring effective ways and methods to realize situational teaching in chemistry class in ethnic minority areas;Further integrating local culture and situational teaching,we designed a teaching case of a chemical situation that conforms to the situational teaching principles of ethnic minorities and conducted a teaching practice study for Dingqi Middle School in Anshun Township to verify the effectiveness of situational instructional design in ethnic minority areas.The result of teaching practice shows that the atmosphere of classroom is flexible and changeable,which can improve classroom efficiency to some extent.Students' interest and enthusiasm in studying were improved,and the difficulty in learning chemistry was reduced.Students had a deeper understanding of the local ethnic cultural characteristics and raised their awareness of the inheriting national culture.
