The content of General Conic is the core of analytical geometry of plane and the main part to support the body knowledge of the middle school mathematics teaching. It is well known that The content of General Conic plays an important part in teaching and development of mathematics. Nowadays examination-oriented education system is giving way to quality-oriented education, which advocates student-centred classes where students'subjective initiative is fully exerted, but affected by the university entrance examination, teachers still use the teacher-centred class pattern to save time in the teaching of General Conic. Influenced by the teaching procedure, teachers often cancel some elements, which will cause students'not experiencing the process of knowledge's emergence and development. So students can't get enough chances to express themselves and communicate with each other, and thus students can't have study initiatives and activity in thinking. The activity–"say mathematicsin"the teaching of General Conic will definitely improve students'interest and students main role in teaching , encouraging students to query , discuss , guess and stimulate students'initiative of speaking and strengthen the communication and cooperation between students and teachers. By doing so, we can improve students'maths comprehensive abilities. In this quality-oriented education society, it has theoretical and practical significance in enhancing students'maths attainment.This thesis contains four parts :The first part is the establishment of a research project , mainly telling the background of the project and significance of the research.The second part is about the theoretical investigation about the"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic. It defines the"say mathematics"and states the significance and value of the activity. Based on the status, function and the teaching requesting of the General Conic, this part expounds the necessity of the"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic , aiming at the main problems of the teaching in this period.The third part discourses research of practice of the"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic. With the General requirement of the activity , combined with the teaching practice, the thesis researches the"say mathematics"activity's process and methods in the teaching of General Conic and give us a specific exampleThe fourth part is the experimental research of the"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic. It confirms the validity to carry out this activity by experiments. Meanwhile, it brings forword several introspections and suggestions.By theoretical Investigation and experimental research, we can draw the following conclusions.(1) The"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic can improve students'achievement.(2) The"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic can arouse students'interest in learning maths and strengthen students'self-efficacy.(3) The"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic can develop students'awareness of self-study, improve students'ability of expression in maths.(4) The"say mathematics"activity in the teaching of General Conic can enhance the communication between students and teachers, which is good for the building of a harmonious relationship between teachers and students.
