| With the full implementation of quality education and comprehensive high school chemistry education reform, people are becoming to pay more attention to chemical experimental activities.However, there widely exist many problems in Chinese chemical experimental activities, such as the insufficiency of interest and repetition. To the contrary, those activities in The JCE Classroom Activity column of American Chemical Education are novel in topic-selection, flexible in experiment design, and easy to arouse students'interest, which sets a good example to Chinese chemical experimental teaching.This thesis is composed of seven parts.The first part is to put forward the topic, which mainly introduces the new course's advantages and disadvantages and requirements. Besides, the lessons Chinese scholars should learn and the research method are introduced as well.The second part is the theoretical basis, including the educational concept of the new course, education being life theory,"learning by doing"theory, and cooperative learning theory.The third part is the research on the column of JCE Classroom Activity, which mainly includes the statistics of activities in that column and the way those typical cases and activities present.The fourth part is about the concepts and characteristics of JCE Classroom Activity.The fifth part is the enlightenment of JCE Classroom Activity on Chinese chemical teaching.The sixth part is a conclusion, including the conclusion of this paper, and some issues to discuss and think deeply.Through the research on the experimental activities of American Journal of Chemical Education, the present author tries to find out something valuable to Chinese chemical experimental teaching. The effective carrying out of the experimental activities is of great help to stimulate and maintain students'interest, and to improve students'ability in study. It is hoped that this paper will provides chemical teachers with more information and reference on experimental teaching. |
