Teachers'reading status is closely related to their professional development. Teachers'reading plays a very positive and important role in promoting professional development,comprehensively enhancing the quality of teachers and improving the teaching quality.This study will combine the existing related results, placing the teachers'reading in the background of professional development of teachers, to investigate the great influence about the reading toward the teachers'professional development.This paper explore the key primary teachers'reading status in the primary and secondary schools of Daiyue District of Taian City with the manner of multi-angle, multi-level and using questionaire survey, case interviews and so on ,in order to promote the teachers'professional level on the basis of grasping the overall situation , analysing the existing problems and reasons, and then proposing solutions to this problem.The whole text is divided into five parts. The first part is mainly talking about the reason of choosing this topic, the purpose and the significance, and also overview the research status. The second and third part is mainly to understand the basic situation of the teachers'reading in primary and secondary schools by analysing the result of questionaire survey and case interview. The fourth part is focus on combing problems existed in the teachers'reading of the primary and secondary schools and analysing the main causes of the problem. The last part is proposed of the reading strategies to promote the professional development of teachers.
