The primary tasks and the core content of building new rural area of socialism are to operate and cultivate the new farmers that is the educated, skilled. Cultural quality and skills qualities of our farmers not only constrains the efficient conversion and promotion of agricultural scientific research outcome rapidly, but also affects the process that surplus rural labor transfer to urban areas and secondary or tertiary industries.Therefore, as a fundamental way to enhance the quality of farmers-the training of farmers have become a increasingly prominent problem.So, how to make great new farmers by useful training that can make them adapted new stage of agriculture and the rural economic development effectively, is the current and future period practical problems need to be resolved.This paper reviewed the situation both at domestic and foreign scholars on the training of farmers basically, then according to the theory, combined with regional characteristics of Sichuan Province, from the perspective of farmers training needs, introduced the status-Training Requirements for farmers, farmers'perception and evaluation of training, to understand the demand for training of farmers in Sichuan Province. Training needs of farmers in Sichuan Province empirical analysis:the wishes and influencing factors, the motivation of participating in train, farmer's selection of the training elements and the different choice because of their characteristic. The main conclusions are:(1)The aspect of the wishes and influencing factors shows that:famers'age, whether previously trained, the number of family labor, family-scale land operation, the need for information on the training site, training timing and the ratio of training costs etc. have a remarkable impact on the wishes of training. Among them, whether previously trained, the number of family labor, family-scale land operation, information needs, and the training time will be positively correlated; age, the ratio of training costs participate in training will become negative. Significance of different factors and influence are not the same.(2) The motivation to participate in training must be complex; farmers are not only concerned about the increase in income, but also to improve the quality of their skills.The main motivation of farmers to participate in training is to increase income and employment.(3)Farmers hope that a short-term training, the facilitate site the low training costs are received. On-site guidance to the way of teaching farmers will be the most recognized, most farmers are willing to accept the training organized by departments of the government.(4) Different characteristics of the demand for training farmers are different. From the farmers'age, the age of 21-30 years old tend to participate in non-farm technical skills and their demands are diversified; the age of 40s those lived in rural areas in a long term is willing to participate in skills training for agricultural cultivation and breeding ones.From the farmers'gender, women farmers more options service training and crafts training, while male farmers are agricultural cultivation and breeding ones, industrial, construction, transport and employments and ventured skills.From their educational years:the lower farmers tend to participate in industrial, construction, transport and services and crafts which are low-tech skills. The higher educated people are prefer to participate in marketing, management and commercial training.Finally based on the results of the empirical analysis, this article argued some relevant policy recommendations:the author believes in strengthening the training needs of farmers and the forecasts. At the same time, strengthen the government actions;establish a unified system of organization and lead the policy support mechanisms and farmers funded training incentives. Moreover, in line with local conditions,other methods are need:develop training content, flexible manner based on short-term training and guiding farmers to start their own businesses a comprehensive skills training.
