Research On The Setting And Implementing Of Special Topic On Elective Series Of High School Math

This article research on the setting and implementing of specia l topic on elective series ofhigh school math. Main job is sorted by document analysis the development of school selectionsystem and elective courses in high school math history in order to clear the background ofelective series and the necessity of setting; the other hand, we investigate the implementation ofelective series in 6 high school. Through questionnaire surveys , the ma in results as follows :Most teachers understa nd the content and description of elective series in "CurriculumStandards", but some teachers ' enthusiasm in elective series is not high and they think itincreased the burden on students; Teachers familia r with the traditiona l content in the electiveseries; Teachers' approach on difficulty and breadth of the curriculum is different; Besidestextbooks, other teaching materia ls and releva nt training are less .Students agree the setting intentions of elective series, and most of them do not think itincreases the burden of learning; Students said that there are some difficulties in content andscope. Also hoped to increase learning resources; Teachers' teach is the ma in teaching method.Examination and students' performa nce are the ma in evaluation methods.In the survey, not ma ny elective series courses offered by the high school. It's because of thefollowing three aspects: At first, College Entrance Examination influence to the high schoolcurriculum. The second, elective series has ma ny requirements to high school ma th teachers andcurriculum resources. Finally, part of the elective series ma ybe not suitable for teaching in highschool at present. The content of elective series still open to discuss.
