Under the general background of the new curriculum reform in Zhejiang province with requirements in deepening curriculum reform in the secondary vocation schools,optimizing curriculum structure and developing optional courses,Math Game is introduced into class as a math elective course underlying the research background of inactivity in math study of secondary vocation school students in this paper,in which teaching design and practice are elaborated to inspire students' desire for knowledge,improve the math study of the students in the secondary vocational schools and their key math literacy.The study in this paper contributes to improving the math study of secondary vocational school students.This paper consists of six chapters.Starting from the teaching characteristics in the match class of the secondary vocational school,the background,theoretical value and significance,content and methodology of the study are introduced in Chapter I.Literature review including relevant theoretical bases and concepts,and domestic and abroad research status are illustrated in Chapter II.The principles and patterns of the teaching design of Math Game,the elective math course in the secondary vocational schools are described in Chapter III,in which specifically Math Game is proposed as an elective course after the research and analysis on current math study situations have been conducted through student questionnaires,teacher interviews and class observation,etc..The Math Game content,the principles of Math Game teaching design,the pattern of Math Game,and its structure as a math elective course are later introduced.The practical cases of Math Games as an elective course in the secondary vocation schools are introduced in Chapter IV represented with three specific teaching cases based on the principles of teaching design and the teaching pattern for Math Game.The experiment design and practical effect of Math Game as an elective course for the secondary vocation school are demonstrated in Chapter V.Conclusions and suggestions are in Chapter VI with analysis and comparison between situations before and ones after the implementation of Math Game course,summary of the study results,improvement thoughts for subsequent practice,and reflection on the limitation and shortcomings in this study.
