Early21st century, our country draws lessons from the experience in developed countries on the basis of combining our own education practice and the cultural background, and then conducts the eighth elementary education curriculum reform. Chinese curriculum in high schools broke the single curriculum mode, and focuses on the curriculum structure of elective courses and compulsory courses. Compulsory courses emphasize the basis and stability, while elective courses focus on development and flexibility, all committed to improving students’all-round development in Chinese accomplishment. High school Chinese elective courses include a total of five series set of content, respectively from different angles to revitalize Chinese teaching resources, expand the language learning space and cultural works study is added in the concept of the curriculum reform of taking one of the series. At present, people’s education press issued three textbooks for this series, which is Selected Readings in Pre-qin Scholars, the Classical Study of Chinese Culture and Chinese Folk Culture respectively, while only the book Study Foreign Culture is not published. The "Cultural works study series" teaching material, full of rich contents and great culture, makes up the limitation of classic title in compulsory writings of classical style as well as the problem of insufficient reading quantity, then provides quality high of reading text with regard to improving students’reading ability of the writings of classical style and expand the study vision. At the same time, it helps to make the students feel the edification of the Chinese and foreign excellent culture, and to develop personality and shape personality, then cultivate perusal of pure thought reading habits.However,"cultural study works"are susceptible to exam, stylistic characteristics and teaching material itself more than capacity, difficulty of higher impact, often exist in the concrete teaching of teaching rhythm is compact, rigid teaching methods, the simplification, the problem such as teaching efficiency is low. Therefore, this paper comprehensive cultural works reading teaching material contents, the interpretation and thematic teaching part of the case study and teaching practice, try to use special teaching model to explore the teaching of "cultural works reading" elective module, in order to overcome these problems. To this end, the paper mainly discusses the introduction and the body of two parts. First is the introduction, mainly introduce the origin of the topic, the research contents, and methods. Moreover, the situations of the"cultural works study", subject teaching, and the research status of high school Chinese subject teaching are analyzed. Secondly, there are four chapters in the body. Chapter one is the teaching material analysis and teaching research of the"cultural works study"elective series, which mainly introduce its background, significance, teaching material content and layout form, curriculum standard interpretation, and the problems in the actual teaching practice, so as to provide the necessary practical and theoretical guidance for subject teaching of the "cultural works study". Chapter two is essential issues of the "cultural works study" elective series subject teaching, which mainly emphasises on subject teaching concept, its characteristics and significance as well as theoretical foundation, etc. Chapter three is the practical exploration of the "cultural works study" elective series subject teaching, through theory and case analysis to guide the teaching practice, respectively to select project, setting goals, collect learning materials, independent study, cooperation and communication, and in-depth discussion, to carry out the process, inscribed for the deepening project learning and teaching evaluation and so on has carried on the exploration and analysis. Chapter four is about the critical thinking on the subject teaching of the "cultural works study", pointing out that the effective implementation for the subject teaching in light of teachers, students and the learning environment, etc. can not be succeeded without proper requirements and challenges and study to a higher level.
