In modern society, women in the workplace play an increasingly important role, who promte great developments of the economics and society. Whether normal women labors or dazzling female leaders, they are indispensable in today's social development. Since the reform and opening up, women in Shanxi province have participated in socio-economic development. According to the employment statistics of the labor force in Shanxi province, only in 2008, the number of urban female employees in Shanxi province has reached 131.56 million, increasing by an average annual rate of 1.5%, more than all the workers in urban units. Women are playing a more and more important role in the creation of social and economic values. But in the traditional sense, women are still being given to a number of traditional social expectations, such as wife and mother; this means that women are playing dual roles, one is the traditional role, that is, family role, and the other is the modern role, i.e. social role. Dual roles and social expectations led to women's imbalance of family responsibilities and career, emotional needs and achievements to the contradiction, and so on. In addition, in women's career development process, their special physiological and psychological factors, organizations, and social implications make a variety of troubles in women's career development.This article is based on the women's career development in Shanxi province, using methods of a combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, through a questionnaire survey and interview results, and handling and analyzing one-hand information, and in the end gets the current problems in women's career development, which mainly reflected in:awareness in personal career development; more obvious role conflicts, the existing occupational gender segregation; traditional organizational concept and management practices'obstacles on women's promotion, etc. For the above problems, the author has conducted a relative analysis, such as education, women of the physiological and psychological factors, marriage and family, organizational culture, organization's career management, socio-cultural concepts, public policy, employment environment. Then based on the combination of domestic and international women's career development theories, just as women'and the author give advice from the three perspectives, including the social level, organization level and individual level to promote women's career in Shanxi province. On the individual level, measures include enhancing women's own professional quality, the development of rational career planning, vocational career three-dimensional management; On the organizational level, it needs to establish the concepts of organizational culture of gender equality, to provide targeted career planning, and to develop work-family balance programs; on the social level, it mainly includs the promotion of women's career development systems and measures, enhancement the female resource development efforts in Shanxi province, change of the women's concepts advancement, promotion of the women's career and the harmonious development of the family and establishment a model of successful women in Shanxi province. The above three levels of recommendations and measures are complementary, the individual level is the internal basis for women's career development. The organizational and social dimensions of women's career development are external support system and good platform, that will have a positive impact on women's career development in Shanxi province.
