Human resource is the subject of social economic activities. With its wide and fast spreading in global, AIDS has brought disaster to human and affected the population situation and the long-term development of the population. Because of China's large population basis, the long incubation period of AIDS, the elusive of AIDS group and other reasons, the AIDS'population effect is easily ignored. From the perspective of demography, this research concerned AIDS epidemic and intended to reveal in the population effects caused by the AIDS epidemic. This article analyzed the AIDS epidemic situation and discussed theoretically the population effects of AIDS, took the two areas of Yunnan -- Ruili, Longchuan, as empirical examples. The empirical study based on the gender age data and the death data of the Fifth Population Census took age shifting algorithms to estimated in no AIDS cases the population of RuiLi and Longchuan city in 2010. According to the AIDS'mortality of the 2003-2005 inferred the Population situation under the influence of the population. Through the comparative study , we came to the opinion: In 2010,the male deaths population of RuiLi city caused by AIDS was 580 persons, the female was 167 persons, the reduce number of new-born children was 37 persons. In 2010,the male deaths population of Longchuan city caused by AIDS was 460 persons, the female was 400 persons , the reduce number of new-children born was 107 persons. AIDS affected the birth and death of population which made Ruili and Longchuan lose 784, 967 persons. The mass death of working age population affected population age structure to make the burden coefficient of Ruili and Longchuan increased 0.06% and 0.05%.The gender differences of AIDS epidemic made deaths population of men more than that of women, influenced the sex ratio in Ruili and Longchuan. The rate of AIDS of Dai people,Yi people and others ethnic minorities people is high. The death population of Dai people of Ruili and Longchuan were 473, 351, and the death population of Jingpo people were 98 ,573. The death of young parents brought a large number of AIDS orphans. The lack of AIDS orphans family education and unwarranted school education affected the quality of the population. Population security is the foundation of a state's security, so maintenance of population security and reduction of the population influence from AIDS has no time to lose.
