Research On The Cultivation Of College Students' Innovative Personality Based On Positive Psychology

With the rapid development of the society and increased attentions paid to innovations by our country,researches focused on innovations of college students are also increased.These researches are preferred to college students' innovative thinking,innovative ability,etc.,whereas few of them focused on studying their creative personality based on the positive psychology.Creative personality as a type of personality trait is a relatively stable characteristic in individuals that can influence their creative activities,which is reflected on the mental qualities including strong creativity and independence,lively curiosity,with enthusiasm on study,good concentration and willpower.In this study,we make a research on the cultivation of creative personality of college students based on the theories of positive psychology.Our study will not only provide a new insight into the cultivation of creative personality of college students,but also propose a theoretical reference for creation education on them.In this study,we selected college students with creative achievements(denoted by national patents)and ordinary ones as research objects and carried out a questionnaire survey on them.Then,the multivariate linear regression was adopted for analyzing the collected data and uncovered the positive psychology qualities that were closely related to creative personality of college students,which would helpful for college educators to understand the psychological diathesis of innovative talents.At the same time,by analyzing the current status of above-found positive psychology qualities,we can improve these positive psychology qualities on ordinary college students to enhance the pertinence and effectiveness of cultivation strategy on innovative talents in colleges,provide outstanding innovative talents,and accelerate the procedure on building an innovation oriented country.The data collected from the questionnaire survey was processed by the multivariate linear regression.An analysis on the results showed that the positive psychology qualities that were closely related to creative personality of college students were creativity,caution,curiosity,kindness,appreciation,enthusiasm on learning,hope,courage,judgment,spiritualism,insight,perseverance,and aesthetic,respectively.By comparing the data on two types of college students we found that for ordinary college students,their development on the above-mentioned positive psychology qualities was not ideal and the solutions for ordinary college students is: executing a student-centered policy and guide a self-directed leaning;increasing the proportion of practical part and putting what they have learnt into applications;constructing a innovation platform and cultivating their innovative abilities;strengthening their education of career planning and helping to establish their correct leaning target;integrating resources to enhance the successful experience of College Students;carrying out courses and activities related to gratitude education and building examination system on gratitude;cultivating their independent ability and improving utilization efficiencyon time management;strengthening their interest and curiosity on learning and innovation;guiding the orientation of public and improving the kindness and courage in their positive psychology qualities.
