| The research of Cross-cultural adaptation of the TV series intercultural adaptation of TV drama program is driven by the interests of the market. In recent years domestic dramas have increasingly adapted from American TV series, which have their own excellence. This adaptation also brings cultural issues, although it enriches the types of domestic drama and boosts the industrial development of domestic drama.In this paper, as an example of IPARTMEN, the author will analyze the Cross-cultural adaptation of the TV series from the perspective of cultural studies, putting "Friends" as a potential comparison object. IPARTMEN is successful in the market, however there is some problem during adapting "Friends". On the one hand, IPARTMEN failed to take proper decoding position according to different cultural factors during decoding "Friends", which leading to ignoring the excellent culture of the original play, the weakening of Western youth subcultures in revolt consciousness, which has magnified the consumer culture. On the other hand, IPARTMEN failed to re-encode "Friends", resulting the lack of deep local culture. These problems bring a series of cultural safety hazard. On the shallow logic these cultural issues result from the lack of depth adaptation guided by capital, and in the deep we are still in the cultural unconscious state under the impact of Western culture.Globalization is the trend, any cultural progress is the result of learning from each other.It’s important to keep yourself in the cultural study, we should take seriously to the reality of life and respect artistic spirits, and we should make in-depth adaptation based on our local culture, and take the right position on the original drama decoding, and finally clear our own cultural orientation during recoding the drams to maintain cultural consciousness. Only in this way can we maintain the diversity of human culture, promote the inheritance of national culture and improve the power and influence of our culture. |
