| This paper use the Yao "Qianjiadong motion" as a study case, withthe name of lineage semiotics context perspective, combs and discriminates the Yao as " Huaxia edge" culture area, the origin and transfer their ethnic identity and history, to show its historical choice and change its culture and deal with challenges. And on this basis, this paper also tried to give some relevant suggestions about "the prospect of the development of Yao and the protection of intangible cultural heritage".Yao is one of the55ethnic minorities in China. It is mainly distributed in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Hunan, Yunnan, Guangdong, Guizhou provinces. Yao is a continuous migration and ethnic fusion. About its origin, there are "single" and "multiple" in different ways. Most people think Yao and ancient "textual research","Changsha Wuling man" are in the ethnic source origin relation. On the ethnic origin of the distant memory, because of the age in the Yao people heart has gradually faded. But Yao ancestors once lived life beautiful, prosperous and secure as the land of idyllic beauty like Qianjiadong has ingrained in generations of Yao people’s heart. Effects of natural and man-made reasons and some religious factors, to worship ancestors with the Holy Land and the pursuit of happiness two motivations of people, Yao people organized or spontaneous are looking for the Holy Land and demanding to return to the ancient place. Those series of activities called "Qianjiadong movement". But500years after their Qianjiadong legend of tokens-Section twelve horns represents, twelve Yao surname became the rallying point people mutually agreed. Both Yao inherited ancient totem era of ancient family name, or accept the feudal dynasty and the official name, or in the national integration in accept other people’s name, or because of some special reasons for change, these are "the living fossil", recording the history and culture. On the basis of symbology specification, based on analysis to study ethnic Yao "Qianjiadong movement" in the name of pedigree reconstruction, is the historical choice and change the ideal approach to deeply understand the Yao ethnic identity and historical memory of the origin and circulation, combing the Yao culture response and challenge.On specific steps, this paper tries to explain the combined name system theory from the perspective of name science, using the method of historical literature research, field investigation method and the method of combination of multi-subjects, combined with Yao Qianjiadong movement and Yao surname legend. Also, it will explain why Yao surname became rich from the two aspects of the origin and development of surnames and explain why the Qianjiadong movement occurs by supplying historical and cultural knowledge. Besides, this paper analyses how The myth appears from the cultural anthropology perspective based on twelve surname and how Yao changed when facing the acculturation stress from Han in the name system has made. To demonstrate the Yao Qianjiadong movement belongs to Yao national consciousness, national character revive revival period theory definition.
