Curriculum Design Of Ancient Literature In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

In recent years, as China’s international influence continues to grow, more and more people in the world began to learn and use Chinese. Chinese language teaching focus on listening, speaking, reading, writing, aims to cultivate students ability to use modern Chinese in daily communication with people. The situation about opening this course is different in different colleges and universities. There is controversy about whether opening this course or not.Should this course be involved in Chinese teaching?the answer is in the affirmative. Ancient literature concentrated essence of traditional Chinese culture, is the wisdom of Chinese nation in the passing five hundred years.The ancient literature is worthed flourish with its own charm. Students can understand Chinese culture deeply and reduce friction cultural barriers through learn ancient lirerature. The last but not the least, the ancient literature has positive impact on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammer, rhetoric in Chinese. It plays a supporting role in language teaching.In this paper, according to the survey and interviews we’ve got, we found that this course doesn’t got the importance it deserves. We analayze many reasons which make this phenomenon happen and try to take measures to solve this problem. We walk into classrooms, intervies many teachers and students and summarize the experience of learning and teaching. We design this course according to these experiences, exploring a range of practical teaching methods, trying to prove the feasibility of opening this course to advanced students. We together the language teathing and culture teaching, allowing students to gain knowledge of the language. At the same time, students can also realize the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
