In foreign teaching Chinese, Chinese teaching has been a difficulty. In modern Chinese characters,phonograms account for the vast majority of Chinese characters.There are two parts for phonogram,they are pictogram and sound symbol.these functions promote the learning of Chinese characters. But with the development of Chinese characters, The two parts also change,especially scribe changed and simplified made huge changes,at the same time,there are the inevitable errors in the process of writing. Changing of pronunciation mainly was reflected in the change of ancient tones and modern tones; literal meaning was mainly showed in the guise and constantly extended. Because these changes weaken the function. In order to make better use of Phonogram to guide the learning of Chinese characters, the paper makes the " Boya Chinese Advanced Flying papers " as the research object, making a rounded analysis for pictogram and sound symbol in the book.In this paper, according to certain criteria counting the numbers of "Boya Chinese Advanced Flying chapter" Phonogram,there are some relationship also is included in the phonograms.This thesis makes a comprehensive analysis for pictogram and sound symbol after statisticing. Pictogram makes a comprehensive analysis from the numbers of characters, the strokes, the type-shaped symbol and the degree of ideographic; sound symbol also makes a detail elaboration from its numbers, the strokes, the degree of phonetic and the rule of changing. At last,based on the previous theory analyzing some common problems for learning Chinese characters, as well as making full use of phonograms to guide teaching and studying for overstudents.
