As one of the basic principles of textbooks for Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language(TCFL), Interesting Principle is an inevitable part during the compilation of teaching materials. Meanwhile, the development of teaching material is of great importance which has made a breakthrough in the discipline construction. Thus improving the interest of teaching material is a crucial and urgent problem for us.This thesis chose the interest of long-term study on integrated textbooks for TCFL as research target, selected the integrated textbook Development of Chinese as object according to it’s authority and studying quantity, as well as the users of elementary, middle and advanced integrated books as researching bridge. The author primarily made systematic statistics, did questionnaire and interview and analysed comparatively towards themes, grammar notes and after-class exercises in Development of Chinese. Finally she put forward the periodic advice on enhancing the interest of long-term study on integrated textbooks for TCFL.Of themes, the statistics from "the public life, cultural customs, life philosophy" and other nine themes indicate that volume proportion of elementary and middle integrated books are unbalance, the interest of book is instable and incompact. Theme of middle integrated books are less and lack of variety. Although advanced integrated books pay attention to "society", there still is little actual interest theme like "family life". According to the perspective of users, the interest of elementary textbooks is first, then middle textbooks, advanced textbooks last.Of grammer notes, this thesis made statistics from content(examples) and form. The form of elementary integrated books is more various than middle and advanced books’. The content(examples) of elementary integrated books is more interest than middle and advanced books owning to the combine of dialogue and sentence. But all of them have few pictures. Users’ attitude shows that the interest of elementary textbooks is first, then middle textbooks, advanced textbooks last. Of after-class exercises, types of exercise are various, advance gradually in due order and pay more attention to communication. Textbooks emphasize types of "comprehension and utilization" and "communication and extension", but the volume proportion of types of exercise are still unbalance in all integrated books. According to the perspective of users, the interest of all integrated textbooks is high, elementary is first, then advanced, middle last.On the basis of the study, the author put forward the periodic advice on enhancing the interest of long-term study on integrated textbook for TCFL, and summarized the weakness and deficiency of this study.
