A Study On Task - Based Instruction In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

Doctor Prabhu has used many language tasks in Bangalore,which is a symbol ofarousing of Task一Based Language Teaching(TBLT).The aim of the approach has agreat influence to promote foreign language learning for students, to cultivate theinitiative of learning and enthusiasm. of students. For now, TBLT was applied inTeaching Chinese as foreign Language, which created a platform for Chineseteaching and studying. I searched many essays and articles from Internet and CNKIwhich focused on Chinese Teaching in foreign countries. But there is a blank forInternational School in China. This paper combined theories of TBLT with practicesof Primary stage of Kunming international School, which emphasizes on tasksdesigning.This essay includes five parts; the first part is introduction, which is about currentsituation, substance, goals and approach of TBLT. The second part is the studying ofTBLT that was applied on tasks designing of primary stage. on this, introduce theoriesbasis, features and processes of TBLT. The third part, investigates the situation ofChinese teaching in Kunming International School, analyzes the feasibility ofapplying TBLT, also forecast the problems of applying. The forth part is to ensure thetask designing in primary stage of Kunming International School, which based on twoteaching materials, also in this part, proposes the syllabus of tasks, which is aimed attwo teaching materials, shows several tasks designing. The last part is the opinionsfrom students who tried several tasks and profound consideration by me.This essay is a practical study of TBLT in Kunming International School, there is ahuge different from the studies of the former. The design proposal is based upon thetwo teaching material, on one. Furthermore, we need consider the characters andtypes of students of Kunming International School, so this paper is very unique.
