Based on investigating the psychological health status and its effective factorsof senior1grade students, the article provided the basis of preventing and improvingsenior1grade new students’ psychological problems and put forward someproposals which were beneficial for the school’s moral education work, so as toexplore an effective method and feasible developing model to launch psychologicalhealth education in the mountainous area and county middle school.The study I took the questionnaires on298senior1grade new studentsaccording to Professor Wang Jisheng’s Middle School Students Mental Health Scale,and made the statistical analysis of the result by SPSS mainly in comparison ofdifference with regard to the following five aspects: general average score, gender,countryside and city, minority nationalities, plain areas and mountainous areas. Theconclusion shows that:1) the general psychological health status is not optimistic,and there are almost half students with different problems, among which are morethan30%students with psychological health problems especially in terms ofunstable mood, bad adaptability, learning stress, depression and anxiety;2) the girlstudents’ general psychological health levels are better than boys’;3) thepsychological problems in rural areas exceed over the city areas;4)the psychologicalproblems in mountainous areas are also more obvious than in plain areas;5) thepsychological problems of minority nationalities are more outstanding than Hannationality.The study II aimed to take intervention of group counseling and individualcounseling over the140students with psychological problems and back-tested themby Professor Wang Jisheng’s Middle School Students Mental Health Scale afterintervention. Combined with the results of comparative difference, the result findsthat:1) the number of students with psychological problems decreased;2) the factorsof girls’ mountainous were cut down;3) Students’ mental health level of rural,mountainous area of the intervention significantly improved, interpersonalrelationship, study pressure factor intervention in rural areas before and after the intervention had significant difference, study pressure factor on the mountain beforeand after intervention had significant difference;4)After the Han and minoritystudents in each factor intervention had no obvious difference.t.All above indicates that psychological intervention could improve the students’psychological problems effectively, and could help students adjust theirpsychological status, adapt themselves to high school study well and improve theirachievements. Group counseling and individual counseling are the simple buteffective way to correct the students’ unhealthy psychological problems.
