Semantic Features And Classification Of Event Nouns

In modern Chinese, the event noun is a special kind of nouns. It refers to the term process of the event, action, behavior. For example: earthquake, battle, conference, disease, picnic and so on. The syntactic function of the event noun is unique. Event nouns semantic feature is complex,and it is very practical for Chinese learners. This kind of noun is a new key point in the research of ontology, and it is an important part of vocabulary teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this paper, on the basis of previous studies, further clarify the event noun semantic feature, and it analyze and summarize the errors which Chinese learners ever made in the process of using event noun. The paper put forward the corresponding teaching strategies, so that teaching Chinese as a foreign language in order to better service.
