In modern Chinese, the event noun is a special kind of nouns. It refers to the term process of the event, action, behavior. For example: earthquake, battle, conference, disease, picnic and so on. The syntactic function of the event noun is unique. Event nouns semantic feature is complex,and it is very practical for Chinese learners. This kind of noun is a new key point in the research of ontology, and it is an important part of vocabulary teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this paper, on the basis of previous studies, further clarify the event noun semantic feature, and it analyze and summarize the errors which Chinese learners ever made in the process of using event noun. The paper put forward the corresponding teaching strategies, so that teaching Chinese as a foreign language in order to better service. The research thread of this paper as follows:Introduction: Mainly summarized the past research on event noun; clarify the purpose and significance of the research topic; point out the event noun research deficiency, and then determine the research content of this article.The first chapter: Mainly talk about the definition and semantic features of event noun.The second chapter: The classification of event noun. This chapter is mainly summarized how to classification, and classified the event noun according to the definite criterion..The third chapter: Analyze learners’ error in learning Chinese as a foreign language. Mainly analyze and summarize the type and the reason of errors which made by the learners.The fourth chapter: Teaching strategies about the event noun in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The main is to have a further discussion about teaching method of event noun.
