A Study Of Forecast In English And Chinese

The improvement of simultaneous interpretation and the training of simultaneous interpreters have always been on the list of the research of interpretation due to the high difficulty of simultaneous interpretation. Researchers consider the strategies of simultaneous interpretation as important measures for enhancing the quality of simultaneous interpretation. As a widely used strategy, anticipation facilitates simultaneous interpretation, yet the specific and systematic research on anticipation is quite scarce. This makes it more difficult for interpreters without rich experiences to acquire this ability. This paper aims to research on the anticipation of English-Chinese simultaneous interpretation through analyzing its characteristics, classification and practices in order to find universal rules of anticipation. And through this paper, the author hopes to develop specific training methods of anticipation in simultaneous interpretation to contribute to the improvement of interpreters.
