This article analyzed images of foxes, cats and frogs, three of which are widely used in the fairy tales written by Miyazawa Kenji, applying to the body theory in philosophy and psychology though text analysis and literature research ect. The result is stated as follow:Chapter 1 mainly states the article’s analyzed subjects, goal, meaning, research methods, ahead research and existed problems.Chapter 2-4 is the core which focuses on analyzing body expressions of foxes, cats and frogs as well as explaining images of the three kinds of animals. Here is the conclusion:1.Images of foxesFoxes mainly delivery their natural characteristics divided into two groups, foxes of goodness and foxes of evil. The former group of foxes is depicted as pure, kind-hearted, naughty, earnest, which are different from secular views of foxes; The later group of foxes can be described as intimidated, greed, vain, sly, evil, which are in accordance with traditional views of foxes.2.Images of catsImages of cats vary with different classes: Judge and purser cats in upper class are vain and hypocritically stateliness; cats in middle class are jealous to and despise the talent; cats in underclass are sheepish and self-contemptuous or fool and kind-hearted. The world of cats symbols human society, images of cats shows the author’s criticism to phenomenon of power and being jealous to other people’s talent.3. Images of frogsFrogs here are divided into two groups, the overmatch and the weak. The former group includes shrewd and fierce ones as well as jealous bullies; The later part includes diligent, kind-hearted but sheepish ones, or vain, wisdom but looks like slow-witted ones, or witty but apathy ones. The images of frogs embodies the author’s criticism to the disadvantaged groups bullied by society, meanwhile in another aspect deposit the author’s hope of creating a society of equality.Chapter 5This part briefly analyzed the causes of formation of various animal images. The formation was mainly influenced by the author’s rich life experience, diverse thought and the condition of then society.Chapter 6This part concluded the whole article, summarize the center point.
