A Metaphorical Study Of Kenji Miyazawa's Fairy Tales

Kenji Miyazawa is a widely known national poet and great master of children's literature.Everyone knows about him.His works have been compiled in Japanese Chinese textbooks in primary and middle schools,accompanying with the growth of teenagers for several generations.Therefore,he has been titled as Japanese “Andersen”.Works of Kenji Miyazawa have been translated into all kinds of languages and they are spreading to China,United Kingdom,Germany,Sweden,India and South Korea.In fairy tales of Kenji Miyazawa,he used exquisite and attractive style of writing to describe the romantic and beautiful scenery,thus people will experience different feelings from stories filled with profound philosophy.At present,studies on works of Kenji Miyazawa are mainly concentrated on ecological ideas and religious thoughts,but there are fewer studies on rhetoric.Fairy tales of Kenji Miyazawa are filled with colorful rhetorical devices,especially for metaphor,which fully reveals excellent language ruling ability and wonderful artistic conception of Kenji Miyazawa and manifests his unique writing characteristics and charm,showing the value of rhetoric study and writing reference study.In this thesis,the author collects corpus about metaphor rhetoric in fairy tales by Kenji Miyazawa and conducts the statistical analysis of conclusion.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces lifetime of Kenji Miyazawa,domestic and overseas studies,Kenji Miyazawa,status of his works,and research contents,purposes and methods.Thesecond part includes metaphor type study of fairy tales by Kenji Miyazawa,and points out that the metaphor forms include metaphor and dual purposes of other rhetoric,in addition to simile,metaphor,metonymy,repetition and allegory.The third part includes metaphorical object studies in fairy tales of Kenji Miyazawa,conducts statistics for metaphorical objects in dozens of fairy tales by Kenji Miyazawa,points out things of natural ecology,scientific things and religious thing sin metaphorical objects,shows the language features of integrating with aesthetics,science,religion and music,reveals unique charm of fairy tales by Kenji Miyazawa,and analyzes the causes for characteristics.The fourth part includes conclusion,summarizes research contents,and objectively analyzes shortcomings of this thesis.
