Language and culture are interactive with each other. Language is a tool of human communication, people need language in daily lives. Language contains the accumulation of culture from generation to generation. Word is a important part of language, the culture behind the language is displayed through the words in the first place. In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese cultural words are the most important words to express the relationship between culture and language. The cultural word which is the word with culture reflects a nation’s historical and cultural background and way of thinking. Cultural words can spread of message at the same time also in the spread of culture, since the social environment, social psychology, the different traditional customs, religious beliefs, cultural words have different cultural connotations, so in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the study of culture words is to facilitate students in learning.First cultural words teaching as its name implies is composed of culture teaching and vocabulary teaching, the basic task of the vocabulary teaching and culture teaching the general method can be used as the basis for cultural words teaching. But as far as the cultural words in the reading class teaching and has its own characteristics and the importance. This article through to the development of intermediate Chinese reading textbooks sorting the cultural words, further discusses the readings, the characteristics of the cultural words, on this basis summarizes the cultural words teaching methods, such as:intuitive method, classification method, comparative method and situational method.Questionnaire investigation is one of the thesis research methods, this paper at the last in the form of questionnaire to understand foreign students cultural words acquisition through questionnaire, I found the advanced students understanding of the cultural words have some ability, but the grasp of the cultural background knowledge of remains to be improved. By investigating the author also gave teachers son cultural words teaching Suggestions, hope the teacher in the interpretation of the cultural words from the background of cultural words to explain more. Finally through the teaching design to clearly show the culture words teaching, the author respectively from the teaching object, course properties, teaching content, teaching target. teaching procedures and teaching culture words given display to clear the case teaching of the template.The author hopes through this topic research, provide a beneficial reference for cultural words teaching, for students to better grasp the cultural words and teachers better words in the cultural teaching to make a little contribution.
