In May 2014 to March 2015,the writer teached Chinese to Thai students in Khon Kaen, Thailand. During the process of teaching, the author found that Chinese and Thai have many in common,since they all belong to the Sino-Tibetan family of languages. However Thai and Chinese belong to different languague family,that means there are also some differences between the two. In the author’s opinion the most typical difference is Chinese anverbial, this also is the difficulty of Thai students learning Chinese.The research object of the study is the Chinese adverbial, using the methods of collceting linguistic data and distributing questionnaires. This thesis mainly studies of Thai students learning individual and multiple adverbial,analysis the phenomenon and the reason of the errors, then propose relevant solutions.Based on previous studies, the writer applies three theories to study this eassy: The Theory of Constrastine Analysis, The Theory of Interlanguage,and The Theory of Error Analysis. This paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter introduse the significance of the topic; overview and theoretical research results were based on three aspects of this paper then introduces the research purpose; Review Errors analysis of Thai students studying Chinese adverbial; theory foundation of this study.The second chapter studies the phenomenon of errors of students in Thailand learning Chinese individual adverbial.the anthor divides the errors into four kinds: disorder, misuse, additiono and missions.The third chapter studies of the phenomenon of Thai students studying multiple Chinese adverbial. By distuributing questionnaires to investigate the case of Thai students learning the word order of Chinese multiple adverbial.The fourth chapter demonstrates the cause of errors from negative transfer of the mother tongue, to the over-generalization of the target language, to Chinese adverbial own characteristics and complexity, as well as students、teachers、Thailand unique education system analyzes the Thai students studying Chinese adverbial error reasons.The fivth chapter propose relevant solutions based on the causes of errors we summarised from chapter 4, the author suggests we should apply the following methods: strengthening the comparative analysis to overcome the negative transfer and enhance positive transfer,so that we can form the correct target language sense, reducing negative intralingual transfer and what students、teachers、should do.
