This paper focuses on Thai students in Nanning,develops an interview survey,collecting a corpus of first hand data,and uses SPSS software statistics to analyze the results.The study discovered that as the time of Chinese learning increases,the learners' oral Chinese adverbial word order error decreases.The author then divided the errors into five categories,based on the position and specific circumstances of the adverbials and its center words?:Incorrect order of adverbials and center words,incorrect order of adverbials and adverbials,incorrect order of special sentence patterns,Incorrect use of adverbials and complements,and avoidance of adverbials.Among these,most noteworthy are incorrect order of adverbials and center words and incorrect order of adverbials and adverbials.The causes of error mainly include three aspects:student related,including the negative transfer of the mother tongue,the degree of mastery of the target language,learning strategy,and communication strategy;teacher related,including teachers' use of oral language and attitude toward teaching;and classroom and curriculum related,including the actual condition of the classroom and the specifics of teaching materials.Among these,the primary causes of error are the students' learning strategy and communication strategy,the teachers' use of oral Chinese,and the teachers' attitude towards teaching.Based on the results of the study,the author puts forward some specific suggestions to improve Thai students' learning of adverbial word order in oral Chinese,addressing the student,teacher,and curriculum.
