Therefore, interpreting can serve as the "bridge". With the professional knowledge equipment, the interpreters can provide language service for the international occasions. The quality of the interpreting service can to some extent influence the effect of the conference. In a word, interpreters should use kinds of interpreting skills to finish the interpreting task. The interpretive theory originated in France in the 1960s. All the theories were derived from the interpreting and translation practices, thus having strong persuasion and guiding significance. According to the interpretive theory, translation or interpreting is actually the equivalence in meaning and effect between the source language and the target language, instead of the simple equivalence in words and phrases. Successful interpreting and translation should convey the communicative meaning which is the focus of the interpretive theory. According to the interpretive theory, the process of interpreting can be divided into comprehension, de-verbalization and reformulation. This simulating interpreting report is about a simulating conference of President Xi’s speech delivered on Confucius’ 2565th birthday and the opening ceremony of the Fifth Conference of the International Confucian Association.
