On The Translation Strategy Of Russian Scientific Text From The Perspective Of Functional Equivalence

With the enhancement of our national comprehensive strength in recent years, the contact between China and the rest of the world has been enhanced and China has also put more and more emphasis on the relations with international community. Since science and technology play a more and more important role in China, the importance and accuracy of translating the scientific writings has become more and more obvious. At present, researches on translating scientific writings from the perspective of translation strategies combined with the functional equivalence theory are relatively fewer. Based on Eugene Nida’s theory of functional equivalence and the principles of different strategies implemented for different kinds of translated texts, this thesis makes a relatively detailed introduction to scientific writings and a profound research on the translation strategies and techniques implied when dealing with this kind of translated texts. Hopefully, the thesis will help improve the quality of scientific writings translation.
