Adaptation and development are the most important two researching subjects in juvenile era. Vocational students(14, 15 to 17, 18) are in the process of establishing and perfecting themselves, who are in a variety of physical and mental development contradictions period. Along with their enlarging of interpersonal, they have more pressure on employment. The development of social conception which updates everyday increases their difficulty in adaptation.So in the period of transition from their physical and mental development to mature, we must pay attention to their psychological condition in order to help them to overcome psychological contradictions and help them to smoothly get out of the unbalanced development of physical and mental and to increase their social adaptability.In addition, compared with the ordinary high school student, vocational students will face practice and employment pressure more quickly.This thesis tries to explore a kind of effective teaching mode to improve their social adaptability through the group psychological counseling, so as to help them to make their studying and employment obtaining in a good development in future.Firstly, this research centers on social adaptability including four dimensions:feeling of psychological advantage, mental energy, interpersonal adaptability and resilience to do the present situation investigation. According to the survey of the present situation, the author designed the program of group psychological counseling.Then the author uses the range groups which are measured before and after the experiment. The author intervened the experimental group with counseling plan and did nothing to the control group. The author Intervened over 10 times, and then the author did the same test for the experimental group and the control group at the same time.The main conclusions of this study are:1. Through present situation investigation, vocational students in the sense of psychological superiority and interpersonal adaptability are below average level, on the while two dimensions: psychological energy and elastic performance are normal.2.Group psychological counseling can improve the social adaptability of the psychological superiority feeling among the students, but no obvious improving in interpersonal adaptability dimension.3. There are gender differences in this three dimensions, namely, social adaptability of psychological superiority态psychological energy and mental flexibility.And there is the grade difference in interpersonal adaptability dimension.In generalizing, psychological counseling activities of this study can effectively improve the psychological superiority in social adaptability, and interpersonal adaptation remains to be improved.
