Alienation is an important factor of psychological characteristics,such as individual values, self-concept, ego identity and self-esteem and so on; the individual who have high sense of high sense of alienation showed a direct social dysfunction.Junior high school period is not only the social transition period of individual physical and mental development, but also the sensitive and high risk period of alienation.The absence of parents and weakening family function which induce the left-behind junior middle school students have higher possibility and risk of alienation occurrence.Prevent and reducing the happening of the left-behind junior middle school students’ alienation play a significant role on their physical and mental development and social development in the future.At present,the study which focus on left-behind junior middle school student’s alienation are few and there is almost no their group counseling intervention study.Based on this,the study adopted the adolescent students’ alienation scale which were compiled by Yang Dong et al as measurement tool to research 375 left-behind junior middle school students and 460 non-left-behind junior middle school students. Then according to results of the present situation of left-behind junior middle school students’ alienation, formulated corresponding group guidance program, and made group intervention study on the left-behind junior middle school students who have higher alienation Conclusions are as follow:(1) The left-behind junior middle school students’ alienation(4.05 points) is overall in average level, the second-order factors which are meaningless sense, family alienation,self-alienation and loneliness, the first-order factors which are social isolation, interpersonal alienation, and its total score of alienation are significantly higher than the non left-behind junior middle school students.(2) The gender, registered permanent residence, grade, the time parents began to go out to work, time length of parents go out to work, the frequency which contact with parents as well as the main objects of living and other demographic variables have a significant impact on one or more of the dimensions of the left-behind junior middle school students’ alienation;(3) After the group counseling,the score of pre-test,post-test and follow-up test on ASAS,SAD and PSSS of experimental group and control group have significant difference.And there are significant difference between experimental group and control group’s score of post-test and follow-up test on ASAS,SAD and PSSS. It shows that Group psychological counseling can effectively reduce the left-behind junior middle school students ‘alienation.
