The culture of palace food in Ming Dynasty is a special food culture in the the court. It is the epitome of food culture, but also reflect the promotion of the folk food culture. It is characterized by the concentrated expression of a grand ceremonial, guarded hierarchical, the extensive number of extravagant nature. Although it only appears in the table, it playing a great power. In the palace, it is the weapon to win over the kings courtiers. In folk, it is the magic tool to consolidate the rule of the king.The Ming Dynasty imperial diet contains very rich, it is a complete system. This paper mainly talking about four aspects. The first part is catering establishments. The second part is the relationship between the emperor and his officials. The third part is talking about The concept of diet. The last is the absorption and transmission of palace food. I try to analyze and discuss the formation mechanism of the Ming Dynasty palace diet, as well as in a particular historical context, the impact of diet in politics, ideology, culture.
