The sentences with consecutive predicates is a kind of special sentence in modern Chinese. The frequency of occurrence of the sentences with consecutive predicates are high no matter in grammar books or daily communications during teaching Chinese as a second language. This article is based on the current situation of the study of the sentences with consecutive predicates and teaching Chinese as a second language, and through the method of comparison, corpora and error analysis, we want to generalize the error examples of the sentence for study. To start with ontological study, we list structure types to analyze semantics and find out the connections and differences among the sentences with consecutive predicates, pivotal sentences, compact sentence, preposition structure and predicative coordinate phrase. After the investigation of the settings and arrangements of the language points in grammar textbooks and teaching syllabus, we want to find out the reason of these matters and provide the accordance for teaching suggestions.This article have studied the error of foreign students during the process of the study of the sentences with consecutive predicates through corpora and questionnaires. At last, we put forward overall teaching ideas and valuable teaching suggestions. These teaching suggestions must be concluded from reality, from particular teaching period and we want to avoid errors and promote teaching efficiency for students to grasp the meanings and usages of the sentences with consecutive predicates better.
