Sight interpreting is a form of interpreting. Usually there are many differences between English and Chinese languages in sentence structure. The position of adverbials is flexible in both two languages while it is very different between two languages. No doubt,it will make troubles to the interpreter in the process of sight translation. For example, the translation is not in conformity with the Chinese expression habit or the translation is repetitive. Taking English-Chinese Sight Interpreting, Advanced English Grammar and Business English Practical Curriculum as corpus of sight translation from English to Chinese, the simulation practice could prove the syntactic linearity theory is helpful to interpret adverbial clauses, with its principle of transform, addition and repetition. It aims to improve interpreters’ ability and make them skillful when interpreting adverbial clause.
